How to use Tailwind to skyrocket your blog

If you start a blog you obviously want people to see what you post and one of the best ways to do this is with Social Media Marketing. In this case Pinterest. The tool Tailwind helps you with building up your traffic. Here is how to use Tailwind to skyrocket your blog.

What is Tailwind?

Tailwind is an automation tool for your Pinterest posting. It helps you schedule posts early, repeat posting them in intervals & helps you to get into communities that post about similar things. It’s supposed to optimize the way you use Pinterest for your website and save you a lot of time.

Scheduling

The most important feature of Tailwind is the scheduling. If you pre-plan your blog posts early you can also pre-schedule your pins. You can add your own and other pins to your schedule that is visualized as a time table and gives you suggested times based on the highest engagement you get. This part will help you plan your Pinterest for weeks and month in advance if you want it to do that.

Tribes

You can join 5 tribes on the platform that post similar content. Tribes let people source niche based Pins easier and especially as a beginner helps you get repins by other people scheduling your pins after you added them to the Tribe. As long as you follow the rules of every individual board you can make hundreds of repins just from this part of Tailwind and get new readers and customers.

Smartloops

This is a special way of scheduling that will especially help you if you have a lot of your own blog posts that need to be shared over and over again. For a Smartloop you choose as many pins as you like and then tell Tailwind in which interval you want them posted to which boards. You can even add rules if i.e. a group board only allows a certain amount of pins per day.

How this affected my blog traffic

After the service BoardBooster stopped operating I needed to find another way to automate my pins and my Pinterest reach and engagement dropped until I finally started using Tailwind.
