Tailwind

If you already started getting familiar with the world of blogging a bit you probably heard about this tool in a few blog posts you read. It is a scheduling tool for Pinterest that will help you distribute your Pins all over Pinterest in an effective manner to bring you more readers. It picks out optimal times to schedule posts, comes with a browser plugin that helps you repost pins easily and helps you analyze pins you have repinned in a certain time frame. Not only that but you can also join Tribes on there that share Pins in your niche and you all will help reposting each other to make your posts more popular. And then there is my favorite tool: Smartloop. It loops your pins to be posted at least once to a certain board in a certain time frame. I can’t recommend Tailwind enough and you should definitely get into it with the free trial they give everyone. It’s worth the money. So much less work for everyone. Start a free trial HERE.

Trello

Also a tool involving boards but this time not Pinterest boards but Planning Boards. Trello is where I and a lot of other bloggers have their editorial calendars. It’s a good tool for Project planning and some even use it to plan their daily lives. You can add an add-on to a board to make it more efficient. In the case of my Editorial calendar board it’s a calendar I added in to have an overview. It’s a simple but helpful tool and it is free unless you wanna work in teams and with multiple add-ons to a board. I learned a lot about using the tool in a productive manner on Youtube. You’ll be surprised how versatile this can be. Oh, there is also an app for it by the way. Makes on the go planning a lot easier. Sign up for it HERE.

Grammarly

If you love browser plugins you might already know this tool. It’s helping you to write correctly and points out typos. For me this is essential when I schedule posts for social media on my computer. My native language is German and sometimes I switch up little words. It doesn’t work on Google Documents which is why I don’t use it for my blog posts but if you write your blog posts in this tool itself (which is something you actually can do) it will help you with all kinds of mistakes. And it will point out even more in the paid version and checks for plagiarism. The bigger your business grows, the more you will need this. Get the free version HERE.

Yoast SEO

If there is ONE easy to use blogging tool, it’s this. All you need to do is to install this plugin to your WordPress blog and you’re good to go.
This is a WordPress Plugin that you can add to your blog to improve your SEO. Good SEO will help you rank higher in search engines like Google or Ecosia. It even teaches you why the things it points out are important to the ranking. It also checks for readability and tells you if you started three consecutive sentences with the same word. I hate it for telling me how often my sentences are too long. I can already see it screaming at this blog post for having too many long sentences. Learn more about it HERE.

Canva

Any visual on your blog can be made with this. Not only pictures and slides but also ebooks and other freebies. Creative Market has a whole section with templates for Canva that you can buy if you want your future digital downloads to look pretty. Almost all of my freebies are made in Canva and not in Photoshop, simply because it is so much easier to create an ebook or Printable in Canva. The only digital products I make in Photoshop and InDesign are the bigger ones that I actually sell. Everything that needs only a day or two of planning before landing on a blog (like a freebie) is made in Canva. So in case you can’t afford Adobe: Canva is your new friend. Check it out HERE.
